Residents of Brightwalk will enjoy a wide range of recreational, natural, and cultural amenities including:
- Anita Stroud Park – a seven-acre park under renovation. Plans include cycling and running trails, a restored natural stream, botanical ponds, and wildflowers
- Double Oaks Park a passive park which will include public art and informal fields for soccer, volleyball, and touch football
- County open-air competition pool slated for re-development located adjacent to Brightwalk
- A neighborhood bike loop created in conjunction with the Charlotte cycling community and in the spirit of Charlotte’s Booty Loop
Brightwalk is connected through an evolved Statesville Avenue corridor to Center City, the North Carolina Music Factory, and the shops, restaurants, and businesses of Charlotte’s North End. Trail systems connecting Brightwalk to the Carolina Thread Trail and the planned bike loop are emerging elements that will add even more energy to the community.
