You’re invited to participate in a Knight Cities Challenge Preview Project– No Barriers: Connect, Create, Celebrate! The project focuses on identifying physical and/or social barriers that separate different neighborhoods and provides a means of engagement for those diverse groups to lessen the impact of divisions with tools such as co-creation of interactive art and play.
The No Barriers Project grant proposal was one of two projects selected from a field of over 7,000 ideas from across the nation to participate in an urban prototyping lab with the Parsons School of Design at The New School and the award winning design firm IDEO. The goal is to take our ideas from concept to implementation this March!
Come and meet the design students and neighborhood leaders of Genesis Park and Brightwalk on Wednesday, March 25th at 5:30 in the Government Center and then be a part of the “co-creation experience” in our event, Friday Night Lights, in Anita Stroud Park on March 27th at 6pm. We will have food, fun, and glow in the dark games.
