Thanksgiving Day Parade

As cliché as it may sound: I love a parade! I love everything about them—floats, firetrucks, old cars, beauty queens and most of all, the marching bands.  Charlotte has a great parade on Thanksgiving Day morning – the Belk Carolinas’ Carrousel Parade. This is its 65th year and I’m looking forward to taking my kids to see it once again. It starts at 10 a.m. (rain or shine—and I’ve been there plenty of times in the rain) at Tryon at 10th and marches straight down Tryon to end at Stonewell Street. Ride the CATS buses or the LYNX Blue Line to the parade. Stuff that turkey in the oven and come on out–The weatherman is predicting 60 degrees and sunny, too!
